About

fiend /fi:nd/ noun
1 a very cruel or unpleasant person
2 (informal) (used after another noun) a person who is very interested in the thing mentioned, fanatic: a Seoul Art Fiend
3 an evil spirit

Welcome to Seoul Art Fiend, a blog for fellow fiends in and around Seoul who are hungry for an art kill! Here you will find listings and reviews of exhibitions, as well as a section dedicated to our favourite haunts in Seoul.
Seoul Art Fiend is dazzled by the amount of exhibitions and things going on here in the capital, which, let’s be honest here, is a somewhat ugly metropolis. No Victorian masterpieces or French Gothic cathedrals to be found here, in a country which has developed rapidly over the course of the last decades into the peach tower-blocked landscape that it is today. However, there is a plethora of museums, galleries, performances and interesting goings-on just bubbling away under the cold, hard, grey epidermis of the city. Reflections in Korean, Asian, Western, traditional and contemporary veins; things to be loved and devoured! And maybe even occasionally spat out.
We love art in Seoul and hope you do too. Stay fiendish!

How refreshing! Your sense of art and your take on Seoul is in-line with my thoughts. It would be great to get together and do a gallery crawl someday.
